My name is Meredith Carrell and I am a Travel Specialist at The Joy of Travel. I absolutely love travel, and enjoy sharing my travel experiences with my family and friends. I have always been a strong believer that you learn from experiences. What better way to have new experiences than to immerse yourself in new destinations and cultures? Before I joined the agency, I would spend my spare time researching destinations and resorts. Now I get to share this research and first hand travel experience with my clients.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. When I became a mother, I decided to leave my teaching career and pursue being my own boss. I am proud to add Travel Agent to my job resume! My hope as an Agent is to send my clients on memorable vacations.
I am a beach lover who enjoys marine life and being in the ocean environment. I have traveled throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. I traveled on an Avalon Waterways River Cruise to the European Christmas Markets in 2019. My love of River Cruising began in that moment. Since that cruise I have cruised several times, and attended the ASTA River Cruise Travel Expo in Budapest to further my River Cruise knowledge. Also, I have explored various areas throughout Europe, and Europe travel is stealing my heart from the beach scene!!
French Polynesia has always been an intriguing destination to me. I was recently recognized by The Tahiti Board of Tourism as a Tahiti Specialist. To be recognized you must complete numerous hours of online training, Zoom calls with Representatives of Hotel Brands, and send a certain number of travelers to the region.
