What’s Hot in 2020

Welcome to 2020 everyone!  Guess what’s hot?

Europe.  Europe is now our #1 request here at The Joy of Travel.

What’s the best way to experience Europe?  That depends on your personal travel style.  Personally I prefer escorted tours or river cruises.  I’m that person who never wants to consult a map, never wants to have to stand in line to buy a ticket, and never wants to drag my own bag.

On the other hand, we have some amazing independent travel packages for those of you where relish the idea of planning and executing the trip on your own.  Want to wake up every day and let the day unfold naturally?  We’ve got you covered.  I find freedom in structure, but that doesn’t mean you have to do the same.  We even have escorted tours that include nothing but the driver, the tour conductor, and the hotels.  Your time is completely your own at each and every destination.

Whatever your personal travel style, if you want to see Europe 2020 is the time to go.  I’ve never seen flights to Europe as low priced as they are currently.  I have never seen such amazing discounts on packages.  I’ve never such great early booking incentives.

Guess what our #2 request is?  Alaska!  Our biggest and most natural state is in high demand.  In fact our own Kassey Weaver is escorting a cruise there in June and has over 125 people going with her at my last count.  Amazing. We not only offer terrific cruise pricing, but we have land tours of Alaska that will get you into deep the interior, the wilder experience.

#3 is another way of getting you into a more authentic experience, it’s castles and monasteries.  Castles and monasteries all across Europe have been converted into wonderful boutique hotels.  I stayed in a converted Jesuit Monastery in Spain where Christopher Columbus stayed when he was trying to get money for his trip to the New World from the Jesuits.  Can you believe it?

#4 is our bread and butter here, it’s fun in the sun.  As always, with Mexico and the Caribbean being so easy to get to from the Midwest, we book millions of dollars in travel there every year.  All-inclusive resorts are 99.9% of what we book for fun in the sun, and why not?  All-inclusive resorts have evolved into truly first class experiences, while maintaining a budget friendly price point.

Wherever you want to travel in 2020, rest assured we’ve got you covered.  As you know, we never recommend anywhere we haven’t tried first.  Experience matters.

Your Globetrotting friend,
Joy
