Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.

That’s it, the money shot.  The picture that made it all worthwhile.

My customers sent that picture upon arrival in their room (5 hours later than expected due to airline schedule changes) on their very first night in Budapest.

They enjoyed Budapest the next day, then boarded their Avalon ship that afternoon and continued with their Danube Discovery itinerary.  Pictures and texts continued.  They were overjoyed.  No pun intended.

We’ve all heard the saying “Price is what you pay, value is what you get”.

Our pricing is always as good or better than what you find online.  We use only the best suppliers, the ones who pull from available inventory, and the ones who have live helpers available via phone if an emergency or complication arises.

Value. That’s our sole point of reference here at The Joy of Travel.

There’s immeasurable value in great advice.  This couple for instance were told to come in a day early due to continuing highly problematic airline issues, and they heeded that advice.  Had they come in on the first day of the cruise, 5 hours later than anticipated, they would have missed the entire welcome event and dinner onboard the ship.  A stressful, disappointing way to begin a luxury vacation.

A properly orchestrated trip includes every component for a smooth experience.   Not only does it include at least one pre-night before a cruise, it also includes transfers, sight-seeing, prepaid gratuities, drink packages, travel insurance and much appreciated destination insight allowing you to move forward confidently, knowing exactly what to expect.

The only way an agent can put together a trip like that is through personal experience.  “Been there, done that” is an extremely valuable commodity when it comes to travel advisors.

Our motto is “We never recommend anywhere we haven’t tried first”, and for almost 20 years it’s been a recipe for success.  Our prices are great, but the bang for your buck, the value, is in our expertise.
