It’s Yachting, not Cruising.

I am a huge fan of small ships.  I think you all know that.

I am also a huge fan of excellent guest to staff ratios.  Have you heard that term before?  It’s the number of passengers r/t the number of crew.  The best cruise experiences have a 2:1 guest to staff ratio or better.

Meet SeaDream.  The founder of Seabourn is the owner of this little brand, and we are proud as punch to have been chosen to be a preferred partner with them in the Midwest.

Atle Brynestad sold Seabourn to the Carnival Corporation and served on various boards for a few years.  He missed the sea.  He bought back two of his ships, spent millions enhancing them, renamed them SeaDream I and SeaDream II, and invented the concept of yachting rather than cruising.  Here’s a link to the SeaDream story:

Yachting with SeaDream is not cruising.  It’s an entirely different experience.  The ships are identical, they each hold 112 guests.  Crew?  95.  That’s as close to a 1:1 ratio as you’re ever going to get.

Excellence.  It’s in everything they do.  The food, the service, the cabins, the itineraries, the excursions, the onboard activities, it’s beyond your every expectation.  They even have a golf simulator onboard, no extra charge.

Let’s talk monogrammed pj’s.  Let’s talk sleeping on deck, under the stars.  Let’s talk included water sports in the Caribbean and caviar served in the crystal-clear Caribbean from a surfboard.

Let’s talk price.  For little more than the “average” cruise, you can pamper yourself with a SeaDream experience.

Sailing over the winter months in the Caribbean to tiny islands you’ve never heard of, or over summer months in the Med into quaint, exclusive areas that normal travelers will never see.

SeaDream.  It’s my dream.  Is it yours?
