Cancun, Fun Lovers Paradise

Cancun, a paradise nestled along the Mexican Caribbean coast, is renowned for its stunning beaches, vibrant culture, and extensive selection of exciting activities. Whether you're a beach lover, an adventure seeker, history buff, or spa enthusiast, Cancun has something to offer everyone. In this blog I’ll explore our favorite things to do in Cancun to make your visit unforgettable.

Start your Cancun journey by soaking up the sun on the powdery white sands of the hotel zone's beaches. Stretching for 14 miles, the Cancun hotel zone offers some of the best beachfront resorts in the world, and something for almost any budget.

Dive into Mexico's rich history by visiting the Tulum and Chichen Itza Mayan ruins. Marvel at the ancient architecture and learn about the intriguing Mayan civilization. Having said that, and although those two are the most famous, my personal favorite is Coba. It’s like stepping into an Indiana Jones movie.  Check it out.

Discover the natural wonders of the Yucatan Peninsula by taking a refreshing dip in the cenotes – sinkholes filled with crystal-clear freshwater, such as Cenote Ik Kil and Dos Ojos.  There are many opportunities via excursions from your resort to experience cenotes.  I heartily encourage you to partake in this amazing experience.

Cancun boasts a remarkable underwater world. Explore the vibrant coral reefs of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second-largest in the world. A half day catamaran charter complete with snorkeling, stand up paddle boards, and lunch is the best option.  Make it a full day and include time on Isla Mujeres.

Speaking of Isla Mujeres, it’s a short and expensive ferry ride to go over for the day.  Rent a golf cart to explore the island, or simply relax on its tranquil beaches.

Let’s talk about whale sharks, it’s a “must do” experience if you travel to Cancun over summer months.  Our family still raves about the adventure and can’t wait to do it again.

If the whale sharks didn’t get your adrenaline pumping, check out the jet skiing, parasailing, kiteboarding, and more. Water sports are readily available along the coast.

Cancun is famous for its lively nightlife. If you don’t want to leave the resort, not to worry.  Almost every resort offers nightly entertainment including shows and a disco.

Cancun also boasts some of the most spectacular spa facilities in the world.  I have my favorites, ask me when we plan your trip.

Indulge in authentic Mexican dishes at local restaurants. Don't miss trying regional specialties like ceviche, tacos and anything with mole sauce.  The best pico de gallo and guacamole on earth are found in Cancun.  That’s a widely accepted fact.

Remember to plan your trip according to your interests and preferences. Cancun offers a diverse range of activities and experiences, making it the perfect destination for a memorable vacation. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or a blend of both, Cancun has it all. Enjoy your time in this tropical paradise!
