Travel Isn’t About Luxury — It’s About Living

Dear Friends,

There’s no denying that everyday life feels more expensive right now.

When a simple trip to the grocery store costs noticeably more than it did a year ago, it changes the way people think about every purchase. Gas prices affect shipping. Shipping affects food. Food affects restaurants. Utilities rise. Almost everything we touch in daily life feels connected to the same ripple effect.

We feel it too.

And because of that, many people are looking at travel differently right now. Not because they’ve stopped dreaming about it — but because they’re asking deeper questions before spending money on anything that isn’t strictly necessary.

Is this responsible?
Is this the right time?
Should we wait?

Those are fair questions.

But here’s what we’re seeing: the people who are still choosing to travel aren’t doing it recklessly. They’re doing it intentionally.

They’re choosing experiences over more “stuff.”
They’re prioritizing time together while everyone is healthy and able to go.
They’re taking the trip they’ve talked about for years instead of assuming there will always be a better time later.

Travel doesn’t have to mean extravagance.
It doesn’t have to be over-the-top or careless.

Sometimes it simply means stepping away from the stress long enough to reconnect with the people and parts of life that matter most.

And interestingly, challenging times often clarify priorities. People become more thoughtful about where their money goes. They want fewer meaningless purchases and more moments they’ll still talk about years from now.

That doesn’t mean everyone should book a trip tomorrow.
It does mean that wanting to explore the world, celebrate a milestone, reconnect with family, or experience something meaningful is not frivolous.

For many people, it’s part of building a life they don’t want to keep postponing.

Sometimes the right trip isn’t the biggest one — it’s the one that matters most.
